1. Using PlayJoy

PlayJoy is a free browser-based puzzle game site. You do not need an account to play. You may use the site for personal, non-commercial entertainment only.

You agree not to interfere with the site, not to attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system, and not to use automated scripts to submit scores or to scrape the site at a rate that degrades service for others.

2. Scores, rankings and anti-cheating

Every submitted run is replayed and re-scored on our servers. We may mark a run as unranked, remove it from the leaderboard, or reset a leaderboard entry where we reasonably believe the run was produced by automation, tampering or exploitation of a bug.

Scores and rankings are provided for entertainment. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of any leaderboard, and we may reset or recalculate rankings where necessary to preserve fairness.

3. PlayJoy Pro

PlayJoy Pro is an optional paid subscription or one-off lifetime purchase. Prices are shown at checkout and may change for future purchases; a price change never applies retroactively to a purchase you have already made.

Monthly subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled and can be cancelled at any time; you keep Pro access until the end of the period you have paid for. Lifetime purchases do not renew.

Refunds: contact us within 14 days of a purchase and we will refund it in full. After 14 days, refunds are at our discretion and are normally granted where the service did not work as described.

4. Intellectual property

The PlayJoy site, including its code, generated puzzles, scoring model, text, branding and design, is owned by PlayJoy. Puzzle mechanics such as Sudoku, Minesweeper and the 2048 tile-merge concept are long-standing public game ideas; we claim no exclusive rights over the underlying mechanics, only over our implementation and presentation.

You may link to any public page on the site. You may not copy substantial parts of the site, scrape puzzle content for republication, or use our branding to imply an endorsement.

5. Advertising and third parties

The free tier may display advertising. Ads are never placed inside the daily puzzle flow in a way that interrupts a run in progress.

Advertising partners may set cookies or similar technologies subject to your consent where required by law. See the Privacy Policy for details.

6. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The site is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Ability ratings are entertainment features and are not medical, educational or psychological assessments.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PlayJoy is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site, and our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50.

7. Changes, termination and governing law

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above. We may suspend or terminate access for anyone who breaches these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here limits consumer rights that cannot be limited in your country of residence.
